Help Center & FAQs

5CCT lighting gives you five selectable color temperatures in one fixture. Depending on the product, the available settings may include warm white, soft white, neutral white, cool white, and daylight. The selector is usually located on the back of the light or inside the junction box and should be set before final installation.

Always confirm the exact color-temperature range on the product page before installation.

CRI, or Color Rendering Index, describes how accurately a light source shows the colors of objects compared with natural light. A higher CRI generally produces more natural-looking colors, which is especially useful in kitchens, bathrooms, retail spaces, galleries, and areas where finishes and materials need to be judged accurately.

Lumens measure the amount of visible light produced by a fixture. A higher lumen rating generally means a brighter light, but the best choice also depends on ceiling height, room size, spacing, wall color, and the intended use of the space.

For a room-lighting plan, consider the total lumens from all fixtures rather than looking at one fixture in isolation.

Lumens

measure light output.

Watts

measure electrical power consumption.

LED lighting is designed to deliver useful brightness with less power than older lighting technologies, so lumens are the better way to compare brightness.

A dimmable fixture can be adjusted from brighter to softer light using a compatible wall dimmer or control system. Dimming performance can vary by dimmer model, load, wiring, and the number of fixtures on the circuit.

Always check the product page and compatibility information before installation.

Glare occurs when a light source is excessively bright or visible from the normal viewing angle. An anti-glare or low-glare design helps control the light source and can improve visual comfort, especially in kitchens, offices, living spaces, and rooms with reflective surfaces.

The degree of glare control varies by model. Review the product specifications and beam details for the fixture you are considering.

Yes. Recessed LED lights can provide general illumination or accent lighting when the beam angle, trim style, and placement are selected for the application. Adjustable models are useful for directing light toward artwork, walls, shelving, architectural details, or other focal points.
